Work Force Schedule – Forecasting
Workforce Scheduling – Work Force Schedule – Man Power Requirements (SFK).
Part 1: Man Power Requirements is the forecast schedule; it allows us to project upcoming jobs and assign man days to those jobs. This forecast can also be updated to the daily schedule as jobs are being executed.
To begin select SFK, a blank screen will appear, select Load jobs to “refresh” the list to current jobs. Hit enter to display all jobs or select a project manager to view his jobs.
By projecting the labor you can view the assigned labor vs available labor by selecting the Assigned button.
Part 2:
Assigning Labor: To assign labor – put the number of men required for the job in the cell (week date) then hit the Assign labor button. Select “Add line” and then select the Employee number (right click employee number for a list). This will give you availability of non-assigned associates. Fill out the hours for each day or you can allow it to default to the full week.
Part 3 Daily Scheduling- Daily Work Schedule – SDS
Select SDS to view the daily schedule by date – this is the official day to day schedule. Right click on Job # to add associates/resources to the schedule. From here you are able to copy/move/toggle jobs/employees/etc to different days as jobs push.
To pull in the forecasted schedule select SDI and the week you want to bring in. This is a function best used at the very beginning of the week before any jobs have been put on the daily schedule to remove overlapping entry etc.
Part 4: Finalizing the daily schedule and exporting the costs.
To set the export date range, go to Job Costing – Labor Time Entry – JXE and change day 1 to the Sunday of the week you are finalizing.
Return to Workforce scheduling and select SDX “Export Daily Schedule to Payroll”. A screen will pop up confirming the dates of export (be certain everything is correct and verify the past week’s schedule was accurate because this cannot be undone). This process with automatically post the hours worked of internal guys at the loaded rate to each individual job (hitting the labor budget).
Reports/Etc –
SFW is a great report that shows all employees etc and what jobs they are/were schedule on for that particular week:
