It is often useful to take screenshots, especially when submitting a ticket about an error that has popped up. The snipping tool is an easy to use solution:
- Open your start menu (in the lower left corner of the screen click on the windows logo) and click Snipping Tool at the top
- Click and drag the area you would like to take a picture of. Note: it will not show the snipping tool box if it's inside the area you're selecting.
- You can click the Save icon to name and save the screenshot.
If the snipping tool is not in your start menu, please follow the steps below:
- Open your start menu, then choose "All Programs"
- Click "Accessories", then scroll down to Snipping Tool. Right click Snipping Tool and choose "Pin to Start Menu"
- The Snipping Tool will now be easily accessible from your Start Menu.
